Subject: RE: Calf Grafting

“These are the times that try men's souls.”
That's why you want to buy a 30 day old calf and graft if buying one. Calf will be almost bomb proof, and big enough to not get discouraged if cow kicks at it. New born calfs to 14 days old are a time bomb if if their moms hadn't had a proper vaccination record.

When I sold holstein calfs for grafting to beef guys I always sold them 30 days old. But then again once and while had special beef guys that wouldn't take anything other than a day old because they knew more than I did.
