She is an older cow, but still very much so bagged up and keeps hanging around the spot I found her dead one. Think I'll give it a shot if I can get a calf bought tomorrow. Anyone holding back on the perfect method to get mamma to accept right away?
Skin the dead calf and tie it to the new one. Easy as that.
It's crude but I've literally never had it fail unless I took the skin off too soon. Keep the tail on it for all the right smells and sprinkle a bit of Calf Claim along its back for extra effect. If you're really averse to the skinning process then you can look up the golf ball method but it doesn't tend to make as nice a hide.
