Subject: RE: Short season white-cream milo

Akron, Colorado
I tried 1301 one year and it was too long of season, at least for the year. Had 1201 next to it same story. They both stood like trees but mainly fluff in the heads and super light testweight. Both looked good before harvest though. Those rows by the ditch were chest high, which is saying something for milo up here! I think we get into the late season drought problem and when a rain does come along there isn't enough season to finish. I had Mycogen 1G557 next to it and it yielded 20 bushels better. Maybe a "here" thing.
