South Eastern VA | I would think if was THAT big of a deal then switch to strip till with Fertilizer being put on or build some type of applicator that will put it where you want. Don't forget all that Fert is corrosive as heck and destroys everything it touches.
if I had thousands of acres with a giant planter and nice black rich soil I wouldn't even mess with it...but I don't, I farm a low amount of acres and crappy sand. Hahahaha
Just my opinion though, I would never tell someone else how to run their operation.
