Subject: RE: 6 in v. 7.5 in wheat

Manitoba
we had a seedhawk drill (shank type machine) on 12" spacing and a Salford double disc drill on 7.5" spacing and whenever we split a field we rarely saw any difference, maybe a bushel or two per acre, and they both took turns being the better yield. we are in a dryer area, red spring wheat yields of 50-70 bpa. not sure on your lands potential. i think with 6 versus 7.5 you'd see virtually no difference.
