We were lucky Pujols got "insulted" with the Cards offer and headed to the West Coast. Got his best 10 or 11 years, then luckily he got to regress somewhere else at mega dollars based on past performance.
Actually Matt Holliday's contract was one of the few to turn out ok, and he's still an ambassador for the Cards. Sounds like he had some influence with Nolan.
Behind the scenes MH does great things for the Children's hospital in STL. Maybe he'll get NA to do the same.
Anyway, been fun talking with you. Looking forward to the March dance and see if the Illini can make a run. You never know, but reality is it's a LONG shot.
