Subject: RE: Rice farming

Qulin, MO
We’ve got some “zero grade” fields that have been mostly rice for probably 25 years. Every so many years we either leave them fallow or plant them to soybeans. The years we leave them fallow we usually run corrections on them and get them leveled back out.

I have a couple fields that had been soybeans upon soybeans for quite a few years before I took them over. I’ve put rice on them for the last 3 years and will be going to soybeans this year. Will probably start a 2 years rice 1 year soybeans rotation on them.

Most fields are a rice / soybean or corn / soybean rotation back and forth each year.
