Where is your cord failing? Recoil end at the knot or up where it runs through the eyelet? I doubt they're replaceable but check that eyelet. If the engine is set up in a way that you can't pull the cord straight out they get worn fast and will be really sharp on the inside edge. 2x the suggestion to get the rope meant for recoil starters, seems to be the best option.
