Subject: Salt and Robert Lustig

NW IA
I remember Lustig commenting on how he could let kids self regulate salt with no ill effects. He said that if the child's diet was corrected kids who craved salt right from the shaker would be "cured" for lack of a better term.

But sugar- just like any drug, the addict needs to keep upping the volume to get the dopamine buzz he craves.

I am not the one to make the point clearly, but salt is an essential nutrient and the body will regulate it's intake. Carbs are a drug, and the body will try to protect itself by resisting it, and there you go on the road to metabolic disease mortal combat = your carcass at war with itself.
