Makita battery can be ruined by fully discharging, for some reason if the chip in the battery finds zero power it says its a fault will not allow a charger to charge it.


Maybe that's what has happened with mine. I have a few Makita tools but all the batteries are dead to the point where they won't take a charge. I haven't needed the tools lately so I havne't bothered to buy new batteries. Too many different styles with DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bauer, Makita, Black & Decker etc.
