Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Actually one that was listed mentioned that use. One of the units was available with either 10 or 12 gauge wire. The cheaper one that I ordered (only a little bit less) has 12 gauge which is plenty for my situation.
I plan on using a Buck Converter that I have that can handle 3 Amps to convert the Milwaukee Voltage down to 12V. The Buck Converter suggests adding a heat sink if the draw is in the upper range. My plan is to attach the wires from the Milwaukee battery connector to a plastic box which will contain the Buck Convertor and a power switch and maybe an LED indicator.. The wires leading out of the plastic box will have a two pole Weather Pak connector on them. This is what I use for all my 12V hookups on tractors etc. This should mean that I could use the Milwaukee battery for other purposes as long as the current draw isn't too much |
