My wife claims boiling cinnamon water in it fixed our sons. May take a few times but makes the house smell nice as well. She added: boiling Simple Green cleaner helped bring back the color.
Myself, there pretty easy to find new or on household auctions for cheap. Easy to experiment with the other solutions in the meantime, good luck.
