Subject: RE: House insulation

Southern MN
I just finished a complete farm house remodel. We did closed cell on all exterior walls. I hung my own batts interior walls and ceiling. Blew in vaulted ceiling and attic. I figured best bang for buck external walls...while sound proofing some of the house. So far no regrets. This past week was the first true winter nights with some high winds.

Everyone i talked to prior to my project said the same thing... if you can afford to do the spray foam do it once and be done. Youll never open the walls again to do so. Easy to save money on replaceable items like counter tops etc. Much more difficult to open walls and insulate.
