I was in a similar spot a couple of years ago and wanted MS Office but didn't want to pay for it. Libre Office was recommended and I installed it. I have been pleased.
After seeing the post above, it reminded me that an updated version was available. I just updated to Version 7.0.3.1 this morning. The update went well and I basically just agreed with their suggestions for the install. This was on my Win 10 desktop in the home office. I tried it with some old spread sheets and its seemed fine.
They ask for a donation to maintain updates etc. This seemed reasonable so I sent them a donation via PayPal.
My typical use is with word processor documents or spread sheets of my own design. Neither of these utilize Macros or the more powerful features. |
