If these two computers are already on the same network I think remote desktop would work fine. IIRC I think remote desktop is only in XP Pro.
If the computers are at seperate sites and not on the same network, I think you would need a VPN to securely connect right?
The free version of logmein is pretty slick.
Well, if you have two computers routed to one internet connection, they are on a secure network - they're behind a firewall (the router).
We use it over the web... just through a private network. I've tried RemotePC, the Citrix product, and pretty much every other remote access app. Remote Desktop works best on Windows, and VNC (over ssh) on Linux. |
