| yungbuck, memory is 3 Gig. I rebooted the machineyesterday & today. Today I did remove AVGfree 8.5, Malewarebytes, & Windows Defender, leaving just Spybot S&D and did an update on that. Seems to have helped but still is slow, especially on uploads. As for toolbars, I am running Google. Will remove that & see what happens as well as checking the task manager as you suggest.
The only thing I use this computer for is the internet, have never tried Word olr Excel. I believe they are only 3 month trail editions. I use my desktop for all my computer work. Wife does play some games on the laptop as does the grandson but those are only games that were preloaded when we bought the computer.
I alwaya leave the computer plugged in & on day and night.
