Nearly every Mennonite is a dairy farmer, and usually they have a second source of income whether it's wheels, welding, sawing lumber, greenhouse, or general repair, etc. They make the wheels in layers of steel and rubber belting (gravel conveyor-type). Many different styles and setups according to their preference. They're not worth a hoot in thick mud, and obviosluy compaction gets to be a huge issue. Lucky for them the milk makes the money for them and not the crops. | |
