Yes, the upper part of the Keeton does accumulate some stuff, as you say. But we just ignore it -- if the Keeton tail has 3 to 5 *pounds* of down-pressure on it, it stays down in the furrow and stays functional regardless of what accumulates on the upper part. (This is in low-disturbance no-till. The furrow sidewalls prevents the buildup from going beyond a certain point.) | |
