SE Michigan | Got some input, but it does not address all your questions. I been running a 2004 Case MXU110 same as a NH Ts110 since 2006. Yes the 4cyl likes higher RPM, but that's where it's designed to live. I use the tractor for mainly spraying (1000g) and it has all the power that it needs. I never pulled it hard for extended jobs, so I cannot say how it would do on a 12 row planter, I would guess you would want a few more hp and weight. What I can say for sure is the tractor has been trouble free for me and always does what I need it to do. From my perspective the Red MXU's and the Blue TS's are good machines. I believe that anything larger than a xxx115 has a 6 cyl. Worth looking for a MXU125 or Ts125
