I have a MS725 that's about the same way. They are spose to be AR 400 Steel but they don't where like they are.
Well you can get much greater wearing capability materials but they are also much harder to form into that auger shape.
I'd suggest doing something like replacing flighting with that AR400 and then hard surfacing in a hatch pattern on the wear side.
You'll pay for longevity one way or the other - - - there just are no free lunches! |
