| You have a sale barn market report - has nothing to do with the value of a registered animal.
The registered game is flooded- makes for cheap bulls. The technology we have now makes the registered business a slim margin business unless you are on top. The people that can make a top end animal,
repeat it 1000s of times. Last thing I’d want to be in is the registered business.
I see little value in the sale barn report you showed, , have a pen of actual 1s bought cheaper than that a week ago.
This is the first time in my life I’ve been able to buy local cattle at the same price as SE cattle (keep in mind it takes 40-50$ a hd to get them here) that doesn’t include the vet Bill. I’m in love with local calves right now, what’s making the SE market so strong? | |
