I agree, Dave. Glean what good ideas you can, leave the rest alone.

We don't pay for any magazines, they just "show up" anymore. Seems like the first ones I pick up to read and get the most from are Farm Futures and Top Producer. Not that everything in them is good or is something I would try, but they seem to have articles that interest me as a commercial farm producer.

I still like Farm Journal, but not as much as I used to.

Seems like Successful Farming has taken a sharp turn to the left toward organic/tree-hugger/hobby farm stuff, and my favorite mag from the 80's, Progressive Farmer, is now all about city folks moving to the country and buying their first "big" John Deere riding mower for their ten acre mini-farm with llamas.
