SC Minnesota | I've been gridding for 25+ years and have seen that letting spreading rates go to 0 usually brings levels down slowly over 5-10 years. Agree with Goose on his perspective. But remember this is different based on the weather that you have and the soils that you have. My experience is based on higher OM soils (5-8%) with either extensive dairy or hog manure histories. Ask someone local how their soils react to 0 rates. To the OP with recent and past manure history, I would on those farms let it go to 0 and let all those years of manure keep releasing the nutrients you put there. | |
