We have been 15" corn for several years now... it definitely gives natural weed control. That being said, vine-type weeds are difficult to manage. Morning glory on fringes, and burr cucumber especially. Also, not sure if ground/weather is significantly different in SE NE than Central IN.

Only time we have had stand issues is in 70 mph straight-line with 90+ gusts.. don't know if thats more common out there, but it was record winds here.
