Sac & Story county IA | On an MC, the speed range for metering roll is 1/2 rpm to 10 rpm. I took ratchet drive off an MC 600 and put on gear reducer and electric motor. I don't know about your model. I had DC first. Then went to AC with VFD. The speed range is harder to achieve than it looks. A 1160 rpm motor with 240:1 reduction is 120HZ to 6 HZ. You can't run 6 HZ for any length of time. So, ideally, should have a way to change speed like a corn planter transmission. | |
