perryton, tx | Pretty bleak. There’s a tiny amount of dryland up where guys were lucky enough to catch the spotty rains of late August and early September. It looks okay but how long it can hold on is anyone’s guess. Guys (including me) are dusting in all the rest but there’s no great enthusiasm for getting it done. I’m gonna take a chance and plant a few fields where there’s some deep moisture with my hoe drills, I figure what do I have to lose? | |
