I agree. Other than a November or March snow storm, snow doesn't add hardly any moisture to our soil profile. I will forgo all snow moisture for a bunch of April showers to bring May flowers.
In addition to not adding much to the soil profile, snow melt runoff on frozen ground can cause a terrible amount of erosion.
Good time for a drought.
