Well if they came from the Ukraine their option was to stay and be starved out or otherwise killed
Stalin hated farmers and he was convinced they were hiding their grain. He confiscated it all and they couldn't plant crops, so they starved. Then they got blamed for sabotaging production the next year. The ones that survived the purges had to face the nazis a few years later.
Still complaining about how bad we have it here? |
