Bern - 9/29/2020 19:03 My local machinist, someone who I trust greatly and who has been in the business many years, reports to me that Cummins is having some trouble with liners sinking on their post-2010 15L engines, at least from his vantage point. A lot of "blown head gasket" issues eventually lead to liner removal and block counterbore cutting to get the liner protrusion back up where it needs to be.
The recommendation is to set the liners at .14 when doing an in-frame.
