SouthEast Iowa | I would open it up to see what is damaged first. Internals should be available, cylinder is part of the block. Depending upon the application, there were different output shafts. Different sizes, tapered shafts, splines shafts etc, so they are not all the same. If you tear it down you might find a hone job and new rings will fix it. Or you might find you need pistons, rings, rods, crankshaft ground and cylinder bored and ot would cost as much or more to buy a complete engine. If I remember right, the 22,23,25 hp are the same other than carburetors. They aren't too bad to rebuild. You can download the manual from Kohlers website for free the last I knew. | |
