I have had my Iphone for about 3 months, and the battery life has been purty good.
Like McCartman said turn off what you don,t need and if you do need later is easy to turn back on.
One thing that might help is to run the battery way down and do a good charge cycle.
The way I charge mine is I plug it up in the morn when I get up and unplug it about a 1 hour later when I leave.
