South Central MN | Problem is if the sled wasn't already on the ground, then it is going to have a lot of momentum and that takes time to stop. Seen a video on Youtube that happened some years back where the chain or cable for the weight broke, so it didn't move forward until the tractor started to slow down (when he was almost at the end of the track...) and the weight slid all the way forward and basically hammered the sled into the tractor.
As fast as some of them get moving they won't have much time to react when something goes wrong, and it still takes time for safety devices to kick in and things to come to a stop. | |
