NWIL | Go time. Especially with rye. Even if its a bit uneven in emeregence, it'll all take, making no difference since I assume you're chopping.
Every year I put in triticale. Earlier is better, no matter what the moisture condition is. I planted into a desert one year in mid September, and even though the green haze across the field didn't show up until when it does when I don't get it planted til mid October, it spent its time going down with the roots and was far and away the best crop of trit I've ever raised.
