these index's are useful in trying to determine how much land will fall when the collapse comes. (it will come as it always does) Illinois land value Index goes back to before WWI and its very useful in seeing the run up that occurred because of WW I and then the correction that occurred in the 1930's. The Run up in the 1970's followed by the correction in the 1980's. THe correction will be somewhere from 50% to 67%. Think about that for a second as you leverage your $10,000 Class A land in Illinois at 70-80% of its current appraised value. There is a correction coming its just a matter of timing and its going to be ugly just like it was in the 1930's and 1980's .
