Wisconsin
Propane is marginally more dangerous than natural gas. It sinks, slightly more fuel value, slightly wider explosive range. I wouldn't let that influence the decision.

I usually see wall furnaces in smaller, duplex, triplex type units. And I've never heard many people really satisfied with them. That could be mostly the drafty chopped up old houses they're found in?

900 square feet is more than I'd want to heat with a wall furnace or space heater. I'd get an appropriately sized modern sealed combustion forced air furnace, and as little ductwork as needed to reach the corner rooms, not an 85% or dual stage, just a standard furnace.
