I just hate seeing it sit in the barn getting older and older and slowly wasting away.
I doubt it's really wasting away. Keep it out of the weather, and bar the engine over a couple times a year. Valve packing and seals are likely to deteriorate by sitting, but those should be easy and cheap enough to replace when the time comes.
Someone else with more experience might chime in, but if it were mine, I wouldn't feel bad about leaving it parked until life got less busy. |
