If you are talking silage appraisals, they are worthless. First the operator leaves strips where they want. Then the guy doing the appraisal on the corn with his little plastic scale sitting on a tailgate is accurate............. And, the whole field was just like those strips........... I've seen a 150 bu/ac field appraise at 230 before.
