If you are trying to connect to a CORS Network most likely you need to provide the network with you your position to enable them to provide optimized correction for you. The Industry standard is the NMEA GGA message as mentioned which should be available on your EZ500. Hope that helps. The GGA message is used by both Leica and Trimble in their RTK Netorks.
