Thumb of Michigan | I have to get another look at it. Not sure on options, and I don't remember seeing any dealer decals on it.
Used to know how many D2's and D4's Laethems sold. Surprisingly quite a few. Still some tucked away in sheds around here I guess. The floor in the Fairgrove shop was built to handle track traffic, still in real good shape last time I was in there.
My Dad and Grandfather had a D 2 that came from Fairgrove. I just recall riding in it, and remember them loading it up to haul it over south of Fairgrove on a trailer. Had a cab on it- not sure if it was factory or homemade. Real similar to wearing a garbage can and getting it swatted with a ball bat while wearing the can. When I was pre toddler, my Dad would load me up in the cab when I was knobby I guess. I couldn't make a round on 1/4 mile rows without nodding off. | |
