Subject: RE: Outback baseline

The way it was explained to me about the difference between basline and RTK is that the baseline is "talking" to the tractor only. In a RTK system the basestation and the trator are "talking" back and forth giving another refference point for information. I'm fairly new to this stuff and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. It takes probably 20 minutes it acuire full signal I am finding out.

I set it up on one field on purposely in the worst loction possible, Out of line of site, near a groove of trees, and was still impressed with the results. I also am able to receive siganal up to five miles away form baseline, This is farther than I was told i would be able to.

By the way, I am seeing are range of acurrancy of 1-5 inches on rolling ground. I think that is close to what they are advertising.
