The implement switch overrides the jump start.  The implement switch has to be activated.

Yes, the above posts are correct. You would need to have the planter down or jumpered out for your tests. You also need to hold the momentary switch to get the Rawson(s) to turn at the specified speed. Just clicking the switch won't do.

You hold the momentary switch in until the rig has reached normal speed. There really is no danger of "holding it too long" as the real speed will take over as soon as it exceeds the setting.

You may be confused about the use of Manual Speed. It is only used when no other speed is available or for static testing. It is not used for normal operations with the Rawson.

Your observations for E3 are correct. The box should be Black (indicating that the switch presence routine has found a switch out there) when the switch is untouched. When you push the momentary switch the connection is made and the box turns green. As you observed it will go back to Black when you let go.

If the E3 box is gray, this indicates that the switch presence routine did not find a switch connected to E3 and the system will not even look at E3 until the switch presence routine finds a switch there sometime.

You are confused about the use of the Jump switch, it's purpose is to get some seed flowing if you must stop in the middle of a field. Suppose you have to stop for a rock or repair. Once you start planting again, the seed meters will have some lag and not start turning until a speed value is received. With the Jump Start switch you are telling the system to start planting at a specified speed whether you are going that speed or not. Once the real speed exceeds the value you have set in then the Jump start routine is ignored.

The PRIME button on the RUN screen is used to prime the seed meters. When you push the PRIME button the seed meters should turn exactly one revolution. Generally this would be done with the planter stopped and in the UP position. This is to insure that each seed position is filled but not to run the disks so long as to cause waste of seed. That way you should not have any skips when you start planting after folding etc.

Using the PRIME button will also confirm that your ratio has been entered correctly. If the seed disk does not turn exactly one revolution before stopping, the ratio is incorrect.
