They are not a miracle but can help.
I'm a dairy guy and had 10 head over 80 days in milk that I hadn't seen in heat yet. Put CIDRS in all 10 last month. 9 came into heat after I pulled the CIDRs. Two of those did not stick. So 7 out of 10 are pregnant.
