Subject: RE: Sorghum Sudan and Soybeans?

North Central Kentucky
We ended up with some free seed beans leftover from last year from the seed guys. (Pink color, so unsellable) we drilled it with SS into a field after cutting wheat for hay.

We just cut the first cutting last week. The beans were there in a decent stand and roughly the same size as our beans planted for crop. It was far too early for pods or anything like that. We baled wet and wrapped.

I don't regret doing it with free seed, but don't think I'd do it again if I had to buy seed. Maybe in an alternating row situation like mentioned by someone else, but that may diminish subsequent cuttings?
