Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Yes, there is only one combination that will work. About the only color code you can be certain of is that red will be power. If other colors are involved, it's best to use a chart or the damaged part to determine what goes where. Fortunately connecting them incorrectly usually doesn't cause any damage but of course, it doesn't work.
Black and white can get confusing when dealing with a Raven harness and a Banjo or Teejet ball valve (this has nothing to do with the flow meter but only for information sake). Red is constant hot which must split and go to the red wire of each valve. White is constant ground which must split and go to the black wire of each valve. At this point all valves would have power and ground.
The Raven section valve wires (black, brown, blue, black/stripe, brown/stripe etc.) do not split and each goes to the white wire of its section valve.
That means for Section 1, red to red, white to black and black to white, Section 2, red to red, white to black and brown to white. Section 3, red to red, white to black and blue to white.
