Subject: Hauling Across state lines question.

I'm needing to go pickup a farm implement from Illinois. I'm from Kentucky, my pickup has farm tags and the goose neck I'll be using doesn't have tags because KY doesn't require them. I'll be under 25,000 lbs 20,000 total truck and trailer, 12'5" high, 11' wide, and 30' long. I was told by a commercial carrier to go ahead and go because Illinois has an implement of husbandry law, and Farm equipment is exempt from all permits except weight in the state. Even for hire.

I trust this persons insight, but out of due diligence would like to get a second opinion. Any thoughts?
