Near-north Ontario, French River | I think you hit the nail on the head as to why Canada is keeping the border closed. As we look south we see no-one focused on solving the covid issue in the US, all we see is groups promoting conspiracy theories, left vs right in a giant pissing contest, a President openly arguing with his health experts,,, average citizens ignoring ANY and ALL advice from health experts, and ballooning case loads... until ya'll get your act together and start pulling in the same direction the border will stay closed indefinitely . With the US announcing 50-60K new cases a days, which is HALF of the total number of cases in Canada since this whole mess started what would you do if you were in our shoes? Things are far from perfect here, and yes folks are getting tired of the restrictions, and starting to ignore the rules,,, but all we have to do is look south to see how bad it really could get here if we get too complacent. |
