Subject: Vertical Tillage Tool Types

NW Kansas
How does a John Deere VT compare to a Great Plains or Case IH? I've rented the last two and was generally happy with the jobs they did. The Deere has smooth disk blades on the front that appear to have some concavity with waveys on the back. Both the case and great plains I used had all wavy blades. Will the Deere act more like a disk and bury residue with the front gang like that?
