I have one sprayer tip on a short boom mounted on the front of a small tractor with a 50-gallon tank on the three-point....it sprays about a two-foot band.
I use this set up to spray field edges along the road (makes roadside mowing much easier).
In years past, I've loaded the tank with Roundup alone and done all the bean fields then come back and poured in some 2-4D and done the cornfields. I get better results with the mix.
This year I decided to add some Sterling Blue ( a 58% Dicamba product from Winfield) instead of the 2-4D, and spray everything.
First question: I am correct that this mixture won't smoke Xtend beans.............Right? (don't give me the it's not on the label .... I'm not spraying the beans..I'm spraying roadsides)
Second question How much would you add to the 50-gallon tank? I cover about 5 miles putting down a two-foot band. Absolutely stupid ! That's all I can say. Ignorant people that spray like you shouldn't have chemicals and why we are fighting half this crap in the courts. This time of year with these temperatures it will volatize and move. I don't care if you only have extend or not it will hurt other beans, trees, gardens & anything else half way close. |
