| I’m looking back at ‘12 when I think about irrigation lines. We are very dry and from looking at other posts on FB this is a widespread drought. I figured (at $5.50 prices...low balling vs ‘12 $) i would lose over $160k. Just one year would payback the investment. Question is...on an typical year can I average 20-30 bu more a year w irrigation? Adding in that “once a decade” drought” I would think this isn’t an unrealistic scenario. I’m of the thinking weather is going to get more extreme where we may see these heat spells (earlier and longer) more often. If we knew we were going to have a ‘12 drought every 10 years this makes sense to start thinking about doesn’t it? | |
