Prairie Home MO
I would put down 150 lbs of N via nh3. It’s stable and a deluge of rain right after application won’t wash half of it away. Then I would sidedress according to yield goal, weather, crop condition, etc. Rule of thumb I go by is 1 lb of n per bushel goal and Sulfur is 10% of total applied n. Definitely put some form of sulfur in the sidedress. I can only top dress because of contour and field shape so I run a nitrate ams blend. Y drops look like the way to go but just aren’t an option for me.
